slacker

ok, so I have been really busy as of late... you know, doing the routine things of life like eating, sleeping, dislocating my hip, being in lotsa pain, losing my brakes on the way to the hockey game, running into a snow bank, taking it to the mechanic the next day and him telling me that my brake line was rusted out (on the left side front to back) and that my caliper had dug into my rotor which wore off my brake pads and that it would cost mucho dinero to fix it, not to mention that I had two midterms today, intro to philosophy was the first one, (I now think philosophy should be a swear word but that’s another story... what comes after “E”?) the other one I had was family life ministry, wow, I was thankful that it was a lot more practical and not as hard... wow, stinking at life can really kick you in the seat of the pants.

with midterm week here I have found out that not only am I a procrastinator, but a chronic procrastinator at that... so there I am sitting in my room trying to concentrate hard on studying for the upcoming tests this week and I noticed that my closet was a little bit messy, so I decided to clean it, (because I have been putting off for quite some time) well, it’s clean now, after the deportation of a couple hundred dust bunnies and three loads of laundry later... I also got my desk organized and when I couldn’t think of anything more productive to procrastinate with I decided that I should get back to work... anyhow maybe I should go study again for my test on Wednesday... or should I go to the hockey game? What do you think I’ll do?... hahaha

don't you just love the bulletin? :)

yeah, so this was an insert in the bulletin... with only two words on one side, who could resist filling in all the white space around it? I mean come on now, there was only two words on the other side also, "keep watching". No details or anything so, so I wouldn't be in suspense I made up something that every kid should watch for the shadow of smokey the bear, yeah, I know it's scary but oh well so is life, get over it...

cartoons and sermons...

yeah, so I'm sitting in church, why can't I concentrate? cus' I've got visions of smokey da bear running through my head. Remember kids, only you can prevent forest fires!!! (hopefully there's a picture up so ya know what I mean... :)

I lost count...

Ok so you’re in class and the teacher’s talking and you seem to be traveling in and out of consciousness. When you arrived it appeared as if he was indeed speaking English, your native tongue, but now he is sounding more and more like a foreigner with a vocabulary you don’t understand in the least bit. (The class/classes this seems to happen to me the most in is any morning class or intro to philosophy, somehow everything the professor says just floats into one ear and then runs out the other side when they figure out that my brain is in disarray...) Anyway you are furiously taking notes but somehow you have forgotten how to formulate words, you feel sick, tired and now realized that it was stupid to stay up as late as you did last night (it doesn’t even matter if you thought that it was necessary to actually do schoolwork). If you haven’t guessed already this has happened to me before, again and again actually, I don’t understand why on earth I can go to class, finally ready to listen and take “good notes” this time whatever those are and but by the time five to ten minutes of class has already occurred it’s happening again, it appears as if he’s starting to speak in Greek or German or some other language that I do not yet know. Last time I checked it was not a language class that I signed up for. Yeah, it was great, last night after a late practice I realized that I had a daily quiz the next day in two classes. I have no idea why we have these alleged quizzes every stinking day I mean, I pay my tuition to be taught not to read from some text book which covers material that hasn’t been taught or lectured on in class and then take a test on it. Anyhow, I studied for the first one and then suddenly discovered that “hey I have to get up at the crack of dawn to do dishes” maybe I should go to bed now, so I can at least get in a few hours of shut eye... ah, Wednesday’s, my absolute favorite day..., it’s probably my busiest day besides Monday of course, ok and maybe every other day I have full classes. I think the real kicker for this day is getting up early to do dishes. I mean why on earth would so many people habitually get up that early in the am just to eat food? I mean I eat breakfast on my schedule, anytime I feel hungry when I’m awake, the key word being awake. See I’m not a morning person in the least bit... I think of traditional lunch as breakfast, dinner as lunch, and then have cereal later at night... who says that you have to eat cereal in the morning anyhow? Is there some sort of rule book for living that says “you must eat breakfast in the morning, as soon as you get up”... anyhow, maybe there is such a book if you know of one with a rule in it along those lines maybe you can let me know. Anyhow, I think the teacher’s language is slowing morphing back to English and my glazed-over eyes seem to be clearing up a bit, so I think that I’ll start taking class notes now, oh’ happy days!
